Description
- Using their powerful claws together with a twisting motion of their bodies, moles can construct a network of tunnels beneath the surface of the ground. Star-Nosed Moles can reach 20 cm in length, of which one-third is tail. The snout expands into a naked pink end with 22 tentacles, or feelers, similar to a star. They eat a variety diet of worms, insects and crustaceans.
