• Description

  A common feeder bird, the song sparrow has brown and white streaks and enjoys nesting in shrubs and bushes along its body. It can usually be seen flying in short bursts close to the ground in search of food. These birds can be found across North America.

  The oldest Song Sparrow to be surveyed was 11 years and 4 months old! Found in the Central United States.
