- Dark-eyed Junco's have a long tail with white outer feathers and a short pink bill. Their colouring varies depending on location, but is commonly grey or brown with a white belly.

- These birds flock together in winter and search for food along the ground. When aggravated the flock will fly to nearest perch and call angrily at the disturbance.
