- Description
- The distinctive features are the black cap, white cheek and black bib. The back is a greyish color with buff coloured sides. In early spring the sides can appear almost pink but it fades to buff as the year progresses. The most common calls are Chick-a-dee-dee- dee or dee-dee-dee and fee-bee or fee-bee-ee.

- With a little patience they can be taught to eat seed right from your hand! They like to eat sunflower seeds, nuts and suet.
